The Serbian football team from Kosovo will arrive today in South Ossetia to participate in a friendly match with local football players. As IA "Res" has been reported by the initiator of the sporting event - the Chairman of the Union of Russian and Serbian peoples, honorary member of the Serbian-Russian friendship Vitaly Ilyushkin, "we planned to play in Tskhinval on August 7 – on the eve of the mourning events in the Republic timed to the fourth anniversary of the Georgian aggression against the people of South Ossetia. However, due to the objective reasons the match did not take place that day and was postponed to August 14 "- said Ilyushkin.
According to him, the Serbian side will be represented by a team- the winner of the annual mini-football tournament in Serbia in memory of the 17-year-old Serb Dmitry Popovich killed by the Albanian gunmen.
"The match will take place within the frames of the project, which was developed and is implemented by myself. The project also provides a visit of the Serbian athletes from Kosovo to Russia, South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
