South Ossetian projects were included in the top ten works of the IX International Junior Forest Contest

Projects of the South-Ossetian State University, named after A.A.Tibilov, presented at the IX International Junior Forestry Contest, held in Moscow, have been included in the top ten of the forum. As IA "Res" has been informed by professor of biology and botany of the South-Ossetian State University, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Johnny Kachmazov, the main challenge that faced the competitors was to develop projects for protection the forestry ecology in the world.

"The South Ossetian contestants submitted projects to the international Nomination Committee, consisting of representatives of Russia, Europe, Asia, Africa and so on. They also delivered two reports on the subject ''Fruiting Shrubs of South Ossetia and Their Healing Properties'' and
''Protective Foresting on the Roads of South Ossetia'' "- told Kachmazov.
The South-Ossetian reports have been included in the top ten works of the forum.
He has noted that the competition was attended by representatives of 35 countries.
"At the contest in protection of nature were delivered the lectures from Romania, Cuba, Indonesia, Kenya, Brazil, the U.S., India and other countries," - said Kachmazov.
According to Kachmazov, students` participation in such contests will strengthen friendship between the members of the younger generation of the different countries and development of the youth activities in promoting the ideas of forestry and environmental sector in general.
The contest is held annually to promote cooperation of youth from different countries, exchange of knowledge and experience on forestry and attract the world's attention to the problems of landscape gardening.
