South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov has received the Head of Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross Linanna Hutchins. During the meeting the Head of State commended the work of the humanitarian organizations in the territory of South Ossetia.
"I think that you are doing a lot for our citizens. I know that as part of your work, special attention was given to the residents of our villages - this is a humanitarian component and assistance to the seriously ill people, "- said the president.
The head of state also talked about the fate of the citizens, languishing in the Georgian prisons on trumped-up charges.
"The fate of our people– is in the forefront for us. We all know how many our citizens are still considered the missing. According to our reliable information, all of them were in the hands of the law enforcement agencies of Georgia. I hope to your contribution to clarify their fate "- underlined the president.
The head of the ICRC mission thanked the President for his support and understanding.
"We feel good attitude of the leadership and this give us impetus to work. All the relevant organizations have always worked with us in close interaction. It is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, and the agency of the Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement and, of course, the ombudsman ", - she said.
