January 29 the thirtieth meeting in the format of the Mechanisms on Prevention and Reaction to Incidents (MPRI) will be held in the village of Ergneti (Georgia) at the border of the Republic of South Ossetia.
As IA "Res" has been informed at the office of the South Ossetian Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement, at the meeting will be discussed the situation at the border between South Ossetia and Georgia, the incidents taken place since the previous meeting on December 18, 2012.
The South Ossetian side intends to raise the issue of the situation in the village of Zardiantkari, which after the placing of the Georgian police checkpoint in the area has not changed for the better.
It should be reminded that on June 29 the Interior Ministry of Georgia moved its police station a few hundred meters closer to the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia, in a village of Zardiantkari (Georgia), which caused much tension among the residents of the village.
Among the questions put on the agenda, is also the fate of the South Ossetian citizens, kept in the Georgian prisons.
It is also supposed to complete the study of the incident taken place December 2, 2012 along the line of the state border of South Ossetia, in the area of Tsnelis -Koda, on the basis of which will be made a relevant statement.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of South Ossetia, Russia and Georgia, with the participation of the EU observers and the OSCE co-chair of the Geneva discussions.
South Ossetian delegation is headed by Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement Khokh Gagloyty.
