South Ossetian Parliament condemned the participants of the meetings with representatives of the Georgian authorities

Parliament of South Ossetia condemned the meeting of the Georgian officials with the Ossetian community organizations and official institutions. During the today`s Presidium of the Parliament of South Ossetia, the Speaker of the legislative body Stanislav Kochiev has said that yesterday in North Ossetia was planned a meeting of the so-called scientists and public figures of Georgia with the head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Taimuraz Mamsurov.

"They call themselves as some kind of informal organizations, but in reality, they are people from the Georgian government. Yesterday was scheduled the meeting with the head of North Ossetia, but Mamsurov refused to meet with them. Today, however, members of the so-called scientific community are going to hold a series of meetings in the North Ossetian institutes of higher education and with the Georgian Diaspora "- said Kochiev.
According to him, the Georgian representatives want to display, as if t with the advent of the new government, the positive changes have taken place in Georgia.
The Speaker proposed to reach a common stand of the deputies to these facts in the form of the official statement of the Parliament.
MP Amiran Diaconov, in turn, has offered to establish a parliamentary commission to give a political and legal assessment of not only the war in August 2008, but also of the events that occurred in South Ossetia with the coming to power Mikhail Saakashvili.
He has stressed, it`s necessary to pass the law on genocide and on counteraction against the Georgian fascism and extremism.
"The Ossetian people thrice undergone genocide, committed by the Georgian fascists. And in order to resist and prevent further destruction of the Ossetian people and our statehood, to secure against the encroachment of the ideologists of the Georgian fascism, these laws must be adopted. We can also, after the example of the Magnitsky ''law,'' fix the organizations and individuals who cooperate with the criminal regime of Georgia, and drastically limit their rights on the territory of South Ossetia ", - underlined the MP.
The meeting participants supported the proposal of the deputy, having decided to prepare today, the text of the official statement, as well as to discuss the establishment of a commission on political and legal assessment of the actions of Georgia against South Ossetia.
