The ICRC essay contest was completed in South Ossetia

An essay contest arranged by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on the theme "The truth of a man is - what makes him a man," was completed in South Ossetia. The contest was held among the students of educational institutions of the Republic. As reported to IA "Res" by a spokesperson of the ICRC mission in South Ossetia Marina Tedety, the goal of the competition – is selection of the participants in the Summer School on International Humanitarian Law (IHL).

"The ICRC's office received 32 applications, but to participate in the Summer School of IHL have been selected 26 contestants - Tedety said. - The contest was timed to celebrate the 150th anniversary of our humanitarian activities. "
She has noted that the Summer School of IHL will run June 1-4.
"Such kind of a school in South Ossetia will run for the second time. It is planned to invite the expert from Vladikavkaz Robert Ayzvert to give the lectures - said Tedety. - In addition, the students will draw posters on the topic of Children's Day. Last year's school coincided with the International Day of the Missing Persons, and the posters drawn by the listeners of the School, were donated to the local association of families of the missing persons. "
The essay contest "The truth of a man is - what makes him a man" started on February 15.
