In Geneva has been completed the 25 round of discussions on security in Transcaucasia.
As the news agency "Res" has been reported by the head of the South Ossetian delegation, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev, during a round of 25, were discussed the security of South Ossetia and Abkhazia in accordance with the Medvedev -Sarkozy agreement.
"The South Ossetian delegation raised the issue of the need to accelerate the work on the agreement on non-use of force by Georgia against South Ossetia. The delegation of South Ossetia had proposed the draft of the agreement in 2009. As an important step in the work on a legally binding agreement the South Ossetian delegation proposed to adopt a declaration of the commitment of the panelists to the principles of non-use of force. The work on this declaration had been conducted for several rounds. However, due to the unconstructive position of the Georgian delegation at this round the statement has not been adopted," - said Dzhioev.
The envoy has added that while discussing the situation along the state border between the Republic of South Ossetia and Georgia, the South Ossetian delegation provided the information, which confirmed that there were not any violations by South Ossetia at the South Ossetian -Georgian border.
"All the work is carried out in full compliance with the legislation of the Republic of South Ossetia and in no way affects the territory and sovereignty of Georgia," - emphasized Dzhioev.
In the course of the round were also discussed humanitarian issues, in particular, the issues of the missing persons, the fate of the citizens of South Ossetia, illegally convicted in Georgia, violation of human rights of residents of South Ossetia, traveling abroad.
The next round is planned to be held in December, 2013.
