"One of the main objectives of cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia is a joint legislative work, where we try to create the basis for a single legal space. In this regard, the work with the South Ossetian parliament was faultless. Together we developed a plan of legislative activity, which is being successfully implemented, "- said Surkov.
He has expressed confidence that this cooperation will continue with the new parliament.
Vladislav Surkov has also noted that on June 26 in Brussels Georgia will sign an association with the European Union and South Ossetia and Russia should make concrete steps, emphasizing cooperation and rapprochement between the two countries.
"We need to quickly develop a new plan, according to which we can establish a more active cooperation in the field of defense, security and social welfare. We need joint efforts to raise the standard of living of the population in South Ossetia. There is work to be done, and I hope we will succeed, "- said the politician.
He has noted that Russia hopes for political stability in the Republic, adding that the main task at this stage is the implementation of the plans for the development of South Ossetia.
"Many have criticized this work, and this criticism was often quite fair, because over the past years have been accumulated a large number of glaring problems in the area of our cooperation in realization of the investment program - many objects are not commissioned or commissioned with gross violations. Now we are trying to rectify the situation, and we have succeeded, thanks to the efforts of President Leonid Tibilov and the government of South Ossetia ", - said Surkov, recalling that for the first time, the Chamber of Accounts of the Russian Federation did not reveal any violations in the target disbursement of the Russian financial aid. According to him, there are some observations, but they are not radical.
During the meeting it was also discussed the implementation of the Investment Program to promote socio-economic development of South Ossetia for 2015-2017. According to Surkov, any constructive suggestions on this matter will be considered.
The Speaker of the Parliament Anatoly Bibilov, in turn, has assured that the new deputy corps aimed at constructive work and interaction with the executive authorities.
Much of the meeting was devoted to the situation in Ukraine and the two regions - Lugansk and Donetsk People`s Republics.
Vladislav Surkov called the recognition of the independence of the Lugansk People`s Republic by South Ossetia as a bold and courageous step, the right decision.
"People are struggling there for their rights, as were struggling the people of South Ossetia. I think a significant contribution to the peaceful course of the situation has been made by South Ossetia. Solidarity is very important ", - said the Russian politician.
Referring to the situation in Ukraine in general, Surkov said that the Ukrainian authorities should provide these regions "maximum autonomy" in order not to lose the integrity of their country.
"Lugansk and Donetsk will defend their rights and a minimum of what they will achieve – it`s wide autonomy. Ukrainian authorities have to show flexibility and compromise. Otherwise Ukraine will not be saved. If they do not choose federalization the country will collapse, "- said Surkov.
During the meeting Vladislav Surkov also answered the deputies` questions regarding collaboration in the field of legislative activity, economic development and cooperation with Russia.
