April 26, 2016 Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev received the Head of Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic of South Ossetia Nalyan Antman.
According to the press service of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement, "during the meeting were discussed issues of search and clarify the fate of persons to be listed as missing as a result of the 1991 - 1992 and 2008 Georgian aggression. Participants of the meeting have noted the effectiveness of the tripartite coordination of Mechanism under the auspices of the ICRC, as part of the work of which has been recently clarified the fate of one of the defenders of South Ossetia, to be listed as missing since August 2008, and expressed the need to further enhancing of its activity. "
.In the course of the meeting were also discussed humanitarian issues, including the humanitarian situation in the areas adjacent to the state border between the Republic of South Ossetia and Georgia.
"On the part of South Ossetia, the meeting was also attended by the State Advisor to the President David Sanakoev and the Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights Inal Tasoev representing South Ossetia in the tripartite coordination mechanism for the search for missing persons".
