The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia and South Ossetia discussed cooperation in combating crime and planned joint events. The meeting between Yuri Chaika and Uruzmag Jagayev took place within the framework of the working visit of the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov to the Russian Federation.
According to the press service of the President and Government of the RSO the program of bilateral cooperation in the field of legal assistance in criminal matters for 2018-2019 has been signed between the two agencies, which provides for a plan for joint activities on various categories of interagency cooperation.
The memorandum on cooperation was signed by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of South Ossetia Uruzmag Dzhagaev and the Russian head of the Prosecutor General's Office Yuri Chaika.
President Anatoly Bibilov noted with satisfaction the positive results of the investigation of criminal cases sent by the Prosecutor General's Office of the RSO to Russian colleagues for the prosecution of persons who committed crimes in the territory of South Ossetia.
In a number of criminal cases of this category, Russian investigative agencies attached the property in order to repair a damage caused to the budget of the RSO.
Within the framework of the visit of the head of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation, will also take place a number of meetings with the heads of ministries and departments of the Russian Federation, with whom the President of the RSO will discuss issues of interaction and cooperation.
