The Georgian authorities are raising unsubstantiated versions of the death of Archil Tatunashvili, said the Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev at a briefing in Tskhinval.
"We informed the IPRM participants why Tatunashvili had been detained, and what happened to him later," - Dzhioev said. - "However, the Georgian authorities and public organizations in Georgia, aggravating the situation, are voicing unsubstantiated versions of Tatunashvili's death, appealing to the international community."
According to Dzhioev, representatives of almost all international organizations are voicing the version put forward by the Georgian authorities.
He has noted that despite the relevant medical expert opinion on the cause of Tatunashvili's death, the South Ossetian side sent materials to an independent examination in Russia.
"Since the Georgian side still politicizes this issue, the materials were sent for medical examination to Russia in order for our arguments to be confirmed by an independent expert examination," - Dzhioev explained.
