Another provocation by Georgia took place near the village of Khurvaleti, said the head of the South Ossetian delegation at the meetings in the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM), Egor Kochiev.
According to him, thanks to the clear actions of the South Ossetian and Georgian law enforcement agencies, with the mediation of the European Union Monitoring Mission, the matter did not reach a serious incident.
David Katsarava, a Georgian activist and a founder of the civic movement " Power in Unity", spread a biased information that the Russian troops were allegedly occupying Khurvaleti. At the same time both the State Security Service of Georgia and the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality of Georgia Ketevan Tsikhelashvili did not confirm the information of Katsarava. The law enforcement agencies of South Ossetia were on the territory of our Republic. If the activists were not stopped by the Georgian police, the case could have ended in an incident, " Kochiev stressed.
According to Georgian journalists, David katsarava wanted to help people to cultivate the fields, to which Yegor Kochiev, said that"if a Georgian activist wants to do land cultivation, then let him plow on his territory, and do not get into the South Ossetian territory."
