The participants of the Intergovernmental Commission discussed the provision of Russian financial assistance to South Ossetia and the work on implementing the new Investment Program.
President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, opening the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Socio-Economic Cooperation, noted the fruitful work of the South Ossetian and Russian parties in the implementation of the Investment Program.
“A colossal teamwork was carried out and is being carried out on the issues of the Investment Program. In 2018, the Investment Program was completed at 100 percent, and I am sure that by the end of 2019 we will also fulfill all the tasks and plans we set for ourselves,” said the President.
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, the Chairman of the Russian part of the Commission, Vitaly Mutko, has emphasized that the peoples of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation are bound by age-old confidential relations.
“We will continue to maintain this relationship. Russia will do everything to support the economic development of South Ossetia. Today we have inspected the Investment Program facilities. We were pleased with the healthcare facilities, as well as the State University with its equipped video-studio, theater,” said Mutko.
He noted a high level of cooperation with South Ossetia in terms of the implementation of the Investment Program, noting that there is a lot of work ahead in the implementation of the new Investment Program, which is very rich.
“I want to note that we have no failures in the implementation of socio-economic plans,” said Mutko.
The participants of the intergovernmental commission discussed the provision of Russian financial assistance to South Ossetia for its socio-economic development. Following the meeting, the parties approved the Investment Program for 2020-2022, the final protocol has also been signed.
