Igor Koshin arrived in South Ossetia on a two-day working visit
The investment program to promote socio-economic development of South Ossetia for 2017-2019 is being implemented at a good level, President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov said during a workshop on socio-economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia.
“The facilities that are included in the Investment Program are quite serious, which costs only one maternity hospital that is being built. Specialists note the high level of engineering and technical work,” said Bibilov.
The head of state has expressed hope that the new facility will contribute to the development of demographic issues.
“Comfortable conditions for expectant mothers will be created here, and I think they will no longer leave for North Ossetia,” the President said.
Igor Koshin, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs, who arrived in the Republic on a working visit, also gave a positive assessment to the building of the new maternity hospital being under construction.
“Today we have inspected at a number of facilities, and if last year the university or theater building could be called a “bright gem”, today it is, of course, a maternity hospital, which I think will be put into operation in November-December. There are not very many such facilities in Russia. Ir is our common pride, and if the new maternity hospital affects the demographic situation in the Republic, we will only be happy,” said Koshin.
Anatoly Bibilov and Igor Koshin have also noted that three months are left until the end of the current Investment Program, the results of which will be announced in late November - early December at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of South Ossetia and Russia.
The workshop continued without media representatives.
Earlier it was reported that during the visit of the Russian delegation, will be discussed issues of the implementation of the agreements concluded in the development of the Treaty of Alliance and Integration, the implementation of the Investment Program, and the holding by the Russian Minkavkaz of a control event in the Republic of South Ossetia.
The program of the visit of the Russian delegation includes inspection of a number of facilities being under construction.
