The delegation of South Ossetia is taking part in the first international Investment Forum in Donetsk. The delegation has included Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development Gennady Bekoev, head of the Presidential Executive Office Igor Kozaev and other officials. The Forum will be held for two days - October 29 and 30.
Within the framework of the section “Formation of a favorable investment climate: problems and prospects” of the Donetsk International Investment Forum, an agreement was signed between the Ministries of Economic Development of the DPR and the Republic of South Ossetia.
The agreement provides for the establishment of trading houses between the two countries.
The document was signed by the DPR Minister of Economic Development Anatoly Polovyan and Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of South Ossetia Gennady Bekoev.
“The foreign policy course of the South Ossetian leadership is aimed at expanding cooperation with friendly countries, including the fraternal Donetsk People’s Republic. We are actively developing interconnections in the economic sphere and other areas. The Investment Forum provides ample opportunities for planning further development of relations, exchanging views with the expert community of industrialists, businessmen, for presenting the potential of the South Ossetian tourism and production segments,” the Deputy Prime Minister told reporters earlier.
He has also added that in the pavilion of South Ossetia will be presented various types of domestic products
Among the Forum participants are representatives of 17 countries, in particular official delegations from the Russian Federation, Lugansk People's Republic, Republic of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, as well as entrepreneurs and representatives of business organizations from other countries which have responded to the invitation to get acquainted with the economy of Donbass and are interested in implementing investment projects in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
In total, about 250 foreign delegates will take part in the Forum, including France, Finland, Ireland, Great Britain, Switzerland, Bulgaria, USA, Turkey, Syria, Yemen, Tajikistan, Iran, Egypt.
