South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov met with Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev, the press service of the head of state.

The head of the Foreign Ministry spoke about a working trip to the Far East.

“A lot of work is being done by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In particular, our delegation visited the Far Eastern Federal District, where we discussed the establishment of bilateral ties,” said Dmitry Medoev.

According to him, a letter had been received earlier with a proposal to the city of Tskhinval to sign the twinning agreement with the city of Vladivostok.

“For this purpose, we met with the leadership of the city of Vladivostok. An agreement has been reached to sign this Agreement during the celebration of the 160th anniversary of the founding of the city of Vladivostok, which will be celebrated in July this year,” the Minister said.

He has stressed that this is the part of the activities of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry that is aimed at rapprochement and the establishment of friendly relations and further integration with the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

“We will continue to develop this line, as it is a priority for us. It will contribute to the expansion of various areas of cooperation, including in the field of culture, science and humanitarian relations,” added Dmitry Medoev.

The President, for his part, has noted that he welcomed the steps towards further integration.

In turn, Dmitry Medoev assured the head of state that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working closely in this direction.

He also noted that the agreements with the Russian Federation and the assistance of our strategic partner help to develop in all these areas.
