In South Ossetia, the number of citizens who are self-isolated at home and in hospital has decreased. According to the data on the morning of April 10, the number of citizens on self-isolation at home is 449, said Anna Gagloeva, the Republic's Deputy sanitary doctor, to IA “Res”.
“Four people remain under the supervision of medical workers in hospitals of Tskhinval , three of them in the isolation ward, one in the Znaur district hospital,” Gagloeva said.
According to the sanitary service, the epidemiological situation remains stable, there are no infected with coronavirus in the country at this stage.
The authorities of South Ossetia, in order to ensure the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the republic, adopted on Friday a new resolution to restrict the passage through the border with Russia from April 13 to May 1.
"The situation in the Republic is currently stable and with the joint efforts of the leadership and the people it will be possible to make sure that we minimize the threat of the coronavirus. I ask the population to treat the decisions made with due understanding. They are all aimed at minimizing the threat of coronavirus," said President Anatoly Bibilov.
The decision does not apply to South Ossetian citizens returning to the Republic, members of official delegations, employees of diplomatic missions, Russian military personnel, citizens traveling due to the death of a close relative, people sent by the Ministry of Health to receive high-tech medical care, etc.
"Attacks on the Ministry of Health have no basis, it is provided with everything necessary. Personal protective equipment and medicines are available in the Republic. Today we will receive another batch of medicines from Russia. We are ready for any turn of the situation. Those fakes that are being spread on social networks regarding test rods infected with coronavirus have no basis. Those who spread them do not want peace in our Republic, "the President said.
The border with Georgia is closed since the end of February.
