According to the data at 9:00 on April 15, 165 people are undergoing self-isolation throughout the Republic, said Marina Kochieva, chief sanitary officer of South Ossetia, to IA “Res ".

The head of the South Ossetian Committee for Consumer Rights Protection has added that 19 people are quarantined in hospital conditions under the supervision of doctors.

“Ten are South Ossetian citizens who were able to return home from Russia on April 13, thanks to the efforts of the South Ossetian authorities. All these citizens were transported by specially equipped vehicles. There are also six more drivers under the supervision of doctors in the Republican medical institutions who also delivered the products the day before. and drugs, and three people - with various clinical manifestations of ARVI, "said Kochieva.

The chief sanitary doctor explained that nine of those who are in quarantine in hospitals were placed in the isolation ward t of the Republican Medical Center, and ten in the Republican hospital.

From April 12, there were increased fines for citizens who violated the regime of self-isolation and quarantine. According to Marina Kochieva, those who violate the legislation in the field of ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population, and who do not comply with the requirements of the body performing state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance, will be fined.

“If earlier the fine was a small amount from 500 to 1000 rubles, today it will be in the amount of 15 000 to 40 000 rubles. People who are in quarantine and at home isolation are checked every day by representatives of the internal affairs bodies and employees of medical institutions. This is still administrative impact, but if the need arises, we will bring them to criminal liability, "said Kochieva.

The leadership of the Republic is taking the most stringent measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19. The Government of South Ossetia adopted a number of resolutions to tighten measures, a ban was introduced in the Republic on holding cultural and sports events, all educational institutions of the Republic are quarantined. Both public places and shops are not functioning, with the exception of grocery and pharmacies.

By the decree of President Anatoly Bibilov, days off were announced in the Republic until April 20. The government has introduced a number of additional restrictions, including mass crowds and the movement of official and personal vehicles. There are also restrictions on crossing the border with Russia until May 1, and the Republic's border with Georgia has been completely closed since the end of February.
