The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia took part in еру ceremonial meeting of the updated Diplomatic Club chaired by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

As reported by the press service of the South Ossetian diplomatic mission, the central event of the program "Culture without Borders: the Role and Development of Cultural Diplomacy" was the speech of Sergey Lavrov, who discussed the current political agenda during a direct dialogue with representatives of the foreign states.

A constructive dialogue took place at the meeting of the Commission on Cooperation between the Federation Council and the Parliament of South Ossetia. This was stated by First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, Co-Chairman of the Russian part of the Commission, Viktor Bondarev, commenting on the results of the meeting.

“Today, for the first time as Co-Chairman of the commission from the Russian Federation, I participated in this meeting, so I liked the constructiveness of all the questions raised by the Ossetian party,” Bondarev said.

In Tskhinval, at the meeting of the joint Russian-South Ossetian Commission on Inter-parliamentary Cooperation, was raised the issue of potential difficulties that may arise for citizens of South Ossetia in connection with the new decree of the Russian government on the rules for the entry and exit of foreign citizens.

Russia will continue its course of deepening cooperation and integration with South Ossetia, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, co-chairman of the Russian part of the Inter-parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia Viktor Bondarev, said during the joint meeting with the parliamentarians in Tskhinval.

President Alan Gagloev has received the delegation of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which arrived in Tskhinval on a working visit.

According to the press service of the head of state, the issues of developing bilateral cooperation, strengthening interstate ties, and expanding cooperation in various spheres of life have been discussed.

Alan Gagloev has noted that cooperation with the Russian Federation in various spheres is strengthening, and the people of South Ossetia associate their past, present and future only with the great Russia. ⁣⁣⠀⁣⁣⠀

“Historically, our ancestors voiced their decision to be with Russia. We all remember the times when we (the Republic) held referendum - they were both “midnight” and during the daytime.⁣⁣⠀

The duty unit of the South Ossetian Interior Ministry has received a message that ammunition was found in a forest near the Tskhinval-Zar highway, the press service of the department reported on Wednesday.

It was noted that the riot police officers had left for the scene.

“The Sappers have established that the discovered ammunition is presumably 5 RPG-26 Mukha, 3 anti-tank rounds from RPG-7 and an anti-tank grenade in a combat position,” the Interior Ministry listed.

The discovered ammunition will be taken to a training ground for subsequent destruction.

South Ossetia will present its national exposition at the Caucasus Investment Forum 2025 (CIF), Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic reports.
