Alan Gagloev has noted that cooperation with the Russian Federation in various spheres is strengthening, and the people of South Ossetia associate their past, present and future only with the great Russia. ⠀⠀
“Historically, our ancestors voiced their decision to be with Russia. We all remember the times when we (the Republic) held referendum - they were both “midnight” and during the daytime.⠀
We are still taking steps today that contribute to greater integration with Russia. I have just told Vladimir Putin that we are ready at any moment, as soon as we see the readiness of our strategic partner (the Russian Federation), to take all necessary actions for reunification. If a referendum needs to be held, we will hold it, if other steps are needed, they will be taken, but only together with our people. We are ready, and the Russian Federation understands that South Ossetia connects its future only with Russia,” the President said. ⠀⠀
“The bitterest fact of our history is the divided Ossetian people, the fact that Ossetia was divided into North and South. As soon as we have the opportunity, we must correct this problem in order to reunite the Ossetian people and build a common bright future together,” Alan Gagloev has emphasized.
