A portrait of Radislav Khugaev from South Ossetia, who died heroically during the special military operation, is presented at the Heroes of Russia: Strength in Unity exhibition in the center of the hero city of Sevastopol.

The exhibition is dedicated to people who were awarded the highest award - the Gold Star of the Hero of Russia.

33-year-old Sergeant Khugaev died on March 27, 2022, during the special military operation in Ukraine. He was serving in a motorized rifle regiment.

A farewell ceremony was held in Tskhinval for Atsamaz Dzhioev, a fighter from South Ossetia who had heroically died while performing his military duty during the special military operation.

Atsamaz Dzhioev, who was 41 years old, died in the Zaporizhzhye region while serving in the Issa Pliev regiment. His loyalty to duty and selflessness became the example for many. His daughter was left without a father.

Hundreds of people came to pay last tributes to the hero: relatives, friends, comrades in arms, as well as the Republic's top leadership.

A round table on the topic of "A Unified Approach of Young People to Counteracting the Falsification of History" was held at the Russian House in Tskhinval. The event brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, the scientific community and young people.

Opening the round table, Igor Terziyan, Advisor to the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia, emphasized the particular relevance of the issue under discussion.

The Head of the Official Mission of South Ossetia in Transnistria, Vitaly Yankovsky, took part in the memorial event organized in Tiraspol by the Official Mission of Abkhazia in Transnistria on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the beginning of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia in 1992-1993.

Prayers services for all the fallen defenders and civilians of Abkhazia were held in the churches of Tskhinval, the press service of the Alania diocese reports.

On Thursday, August 14, Abkhazia is marking the Day of Beginning of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia in 1992-1993.

As noted by the diocese, the services were attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Abkhazia to South Ossetia Alan Elbakiev.

The date of August 14 in Abkhazia is forever inscribed in the history of the republic as the day of the beginning of the Patriotic War of the Abkhaz people of 1992-1993. This was noted by President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev in his telegram to the head of Abkhazia Badra Gunba with words of support on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of the Fatherland.

The 1st International Economic Forum will be a significant event in the economic life of South Ossetia and will help strengthen its position in the international arena. This was stated by Prime Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev during a working meeting with representatives of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the Forum.

As reported by the press service of the South Ossetian Cabinet, key issues related to the formation of its business program were carefully analyzed and discussed in preparation for the upcoming Forum.

From August 8 to 12, 2008, in response to military aggression, the Russian Federation was forced to conduct a military operation to force Georgia to peace.
