A particle of the Holy Fire, symbolizing the light of the Resurrection of Christ, was delivered to the churches of South Ossetia on Easter night.

The relic was brought from the Cathedral of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious in Vladikavkaz by Alan Pliev, Assistant to President of South Ossetia, and Roman Gatikoev, a clergyman of the Alan Diocese.

The Holy Fire descended in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on Holy Saturday, on the eve of Easter.
