President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov called on citizens of the Russian Federation living in the Republic to take an active part in the elections of deputies to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, stressing that "the inhabitants of the Republic have always been distinguished by high political culture."

At the government meeting chaired by the head of state, Anatoly Bibilov reminded the cabinet members and heads of departments about the fateful importance of Russia's role in the development and formation of South Ossetia.

At the press conference in Tskhinval, the Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia told reporters about the specifics of this year's elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

“The State Duma is the main legislative body that determines the vector of our development, therefore, the future of our children and grandchildren will depend on the voice of everyone,” the Ambassador said and noted that the necessary measures in connection with the pandemic would be observed in all areas.

Anatoly Bibilov and Acting Head of Dagestan discussed issues of interaction between the two republics

A meeting was held between the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov and the acting head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov, the press service of the head of the South Ossetian state reported.

Anatoly Bibilov congratulated Sergei Melikov and, in his person, the entire Dagestan people on the Day of the Unity of the Peoples of Dagestan.

According to Bibilov, Dagestan, as one common house, consisting of a large number of nationalities, and interethnic friendship and unity are very significant for everyone, especially for Dagestan.

Parliamentarians of South Ossetia will be observing the elections to the State Duma of Russia

Representatives of the South Ossetian Parliament as international observers will leave for Moscow on September 15 for the State Duma elections; a single voting day in Russia will be held from September 17 to 19.

On the invitation of the State Duma, the elections in Moscow will be observed by the first Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Peter Gassiev, and the Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Taxes, Elena Dzhioeva.

More than 60 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in South Ossetia

South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, reported the data on the coronavirus disease recorded on Friday. As reported to IA "Res" on Monday by the head of the department Marina Kochieva, according to the results of the tests carried out from 271 samples, 62 (23%) showed a positive result.

"Currently, 738 people are under the supervision of doctors, 30 people have been removed from the medical register," Kochieva said.
