A delegation from the Moscow City Duma, headed by deputy, chairperson of the Moscow City Duma commission on transport and development of road and transport infrastructure Sabina Tsvetkova, arrived in South Ossetia.
The delegation began their visit by laying flowers. The guests honored the memory of the fallen defenders of South Ossetia by laying flowers at the memorial complex in Tskhinval.
The delegation members have also visited the peacekeepers' barracks, where they laid flowers at the monument to the Russian peacekeepers perished defending South Ossetia, and to the monument of the Hero of the Russian Federation Denis Vetchinov.
The Russian delegation arrived in the Republic by the agreement with President Alan Gagloev.
A number of socially significant events and the transfer of humanitarian aid to schools and organizations are planned as part of the three-day working visit. On Thursday evening, a meeting will be held between the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev and the guests of the Republic.
The Russian delegation has included the well-known public figures and media personalities. Among them:
Natalya Mezentseva - Vice President of the Saint Martyr Boniface Charitable Foundation, a full member of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (IOPS),
Alexander Zarubin (Sasha Stone) – a multiple Russian champion in martial arts, MMA fighter, a popular blogger,
Yana Poplavskaya, the Russian TV presenter, theater and film actress, candidate master of sports in rhythmic gymnastics and others.
