The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia took part in еру ceremonial meeting of the updated Diplomatic Club chaired by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

As reported by the press service of the South Ossetian diplomatic mission, the central event of the program "Culture without Borders: the Role and Development of Cultural Diplomacy" was the speech of Sergey Lavrov, who discussed the current political agenda during a direct dialogue with representatives of the foreign states.

The head of the foreign policy department noted the special role of humanitarian cooperation in strengthening the international ties.

The business part of the program was continued by the expert round table, during which the speakers discussed modern challenges and prospects for cultural diplomacy.

Opened in 2016 under the patronage of the Russian Foreign Ministry with the direct participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, the Club is the intellectual platform for communication in a confidential atmosphere for representatives of diplomatic missions, international and regional organizations, business, science, education and culture.

At the opening ceremony, the participants also got acquainted with the two unique exhibitions: the exhibition "War and Peace of Architecture: Losses and Revival", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, and the collection of works of Russian symbolism "Blue Rose" from the private collection of V.A. Dudakov.

The event ended with a chamber piano concert by Elisey Mysin.
