Тskhinval has paid last tributes to Tamerlan Kozaev, call sign "Fortuna," who died during the special military operation.
The Republic's leadership, led by President Alan Gagloyev, members of Parliament, led by Speaker Alan Margiev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, family and friends, and the soldier's comrades-in-arms attended the soldier's final farewell.
Marat Kulakhmetov noted Tamerlan's exceptional courage during the fighting.
"People like Tamerlan never stand aside from the misfortunes of others. He was always there for his comrades, ready to support them. He was demonstrating unwavering courage until the end of his life." People like Tamerlan must build our future, because they bear the heaviest burdens. They lead us to peace. We must always remember the names of such heroes,” Kulakhmetov said.
During the funeral rally, the comrades and friends were remembering Tamerlan as a man of rare purity of spirit.
The speakers noted his kindness, sincerity, and reliability, he was the comrade one could always rely on in the most difficult times.
Kozaev was 28 years old. He had not yet started a family.
By decree of President of South Ossetia, Tamerlan Kozaev was awarded the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal (posthumously).
