President of South Ossetia called on the citizens to take full responsibility for the measures introduced in the Republic, in connection with the threat of the spread of coronavirus.
According to Bibilov, it is wrong to perceive this disease lightly and irresponsibly.
“We must understand the threat posed by the coronavirus and treat the restrictive measures introduced in South Ossetia, especially regarding the entry into the Republic, with understanding. The actions taken by the authorities are absolutely correct and necessary,” the President said.
He has noted that in the society there is actively circulating the information that there is no coronavirus infection. As supporting information, Anatoly Bibilov cited the words of the head of the Zonkar reservoir. Anatoly Bestaev, who, with his family, was ill with a coronavirus.
"The children suffered the disease easily, but Bestaev was hospitalized. He called me and said that the disease was severe and there were many patients in hospitals. And this is an absolute lie that the coronavirus does not exist," the head of state said.
Bibilov thanked everyone who is working today to maintain a favorable epidemiological climate in the Republic. Among them are employees of. the South Ossetian Committee for Human Rights Protection, the Border Guard Service of South Ossetia, law enforcement agencies, Ministry of Health, the Rosselkhoznadzor and others who are in direct contact with possible carriers of the virus.
He expressed special thanks to the drivers who deliver food, construction materials, etc. to the Republic, and who understand the need for quarantine measures, as well as the responsibility and danger of their work today.
"Thank them for their understanding. It is thanks to those people who feel responsibility to their relatives and the Republic that we are among those states and republics where there is no coronavirus yet," he said.
Anatoly Bibilov turned to the Minister of Health to work out a question with colleagues from North Ossetia-Alania to assist them with mechanical ventilation devices.
"Many people do not understand this decision, which I strongly disagree with. First, we have enough ventilators to ensure the safety of the population of the Republic of South Ossetia, and secondly, if one of us has a brother who is ill and he has a medicine, will the brother refuse his brother, based on the fact that he may need this medicine himself? The northerners are our brothers, and we must help them, " he said to the Health Minister.
The President has added that the help to the brothers is necessary, but at the same time, we should also be prepared for a possible situation in the Republic.
Touching on the educational process in the educational institutions of the Republic, Anatoly Bibilov noted that he had discussed the issue with the Minister of Education and considered the questions of passing entrance and final exams, as well as the procedure for graduation events. Parents and students will learn the details of all these questions shortly.
The head of state also touched on the informational “stuffing” about a possible rally in South Ossetia. He has said that today he does not see people irresponsible towards their people who will be able to organize all kinds of meetings, knowing that this is extremely dangerous.
“Moreover, according to the law, rallies must be authorized by the city authorities. People of South Ossetia are well educated, monitor the situation in the world and Russia, and responsibility in South Ossetian society has always been quite high. The opinion of some persons who are not highly respected in South Ossetia and who don’t know the true goals of their appeals, cannot be authoritative,” the President emphasized.
