Specialists from the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute arrived in South Ossetia, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, told IA "Res"

"Two doctors have already arrived to provide our specialists with practical and methodological assistance on the spot by order of the head of the Consumer Supervision Committee of the Russian Federation Anna Popova," she said.

How long they will stay in the Republic is not yet known. According to Gagloeva, this decision was made in order to strengthen the laboratory diagnosis of coronavirus.

In addition, South- Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee is expecting in the near future from the Russian Federation another batch of test systems for the detection of coronavirus.

In South Ossetia, have been recorded 23 cases of infection with COVID-19.

Cabinet of South Ossetia extended restrictive measures until May 31. All public places remain closed, except for food and non-food stores, beauty salons and workshops. The ban remains on holding cultural events. The border of South Ossetia with the Russian Federation is completely closed from May 10 to 17, and restrictions on movement through the state border are imposed until May 31.

The first three cases of infection in the Republic were recorded on May 6.
