Voting at the polling station of the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia for amendments to the Russian Constitution began in the morning of June 25. At this polling station are voting citizens of the Russian Federation living in the Republic.

Among the voters was the Russian Ambassador, Marat Kulakhmetov, who, along with others, received his ballot in order of priority.

According to Kulakhmetov, the turnout of citizens in the morning is quite high.

“People are coming to the polling station with a festive mood, which cannot but rejoice. I’m even surprised that so many citizens have already come to vote in the morning,” said the Ambassador. Today, here, as in all corners of our vast country, a very important event has been organized, because the Russians are choosing the future for themselves and their children.”

Under the threat of the spread of coronavirus, members of the election commission and other Embassy staff working at the station are provided with personal protective equipment. In addition, all voters at the entrance are measured temperature.
