03:38 - Shelling of the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia - Tskhinval resumed. Intense fire from automatic weapons and grenade launchers is being conducted on residential areas of the capital. The shelling is being conducted from the Georgian villages of Ergneti and Nikozi.
11:38 - Mortar shelling of Tskhinval and the North Ossetian peacekeeping posts continued throughout the night. From 3 am to 8 am from the Georgian villages of Ergneti and Nikozi (the point of permanent deployment of the Georgian peacekeeping battalion), fire was conducted from all directions, both at the posts of law enforcement agencies and at residential areas of the city. Also, from 3 to 8 am, Ossetian remote villages, in particular the South Ossetian villages of Dmenis and Pris, were bring shelled. As a result of the shelling, 6 people were killed, 15 were wounded (due to the remoteness of the South Ossetian villages, the data is constantly being updated). Almost all of the victims are civilians.
As a result of mortar shelling (120 mm mortars were used) carried out by the Georgian security forces, significant damage was caused to the city and the settlements. There are numerous destructions of houses, schools and kindergartens. The residents of Tskhinval spent the night in basements and shelters, as the Georgian side was firing on residential areas, civilian facilities, education and health care institutions.

The evacuation of children also began from the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia - Tskhinval.
14:18 - The Russian side has expressed its most serious concern over the escalation of tensions in South Ossetia and is taking vigorous measures to prevent further growth of the armed confrontation between the Georgian and South Ossetian sides. The Russian Foreign Ministry calls on Tbilisi and Tskhinval to show restraint and readiness to search for ways to resolve the crisis situation.

With the tacit consent of the international community, Georgia managed to concentrate a serious military potential along the borders of South Ossetia, despite the fact that the Ossetian side has always adhered to the agreements signed at the negotiating table. However, all patience comes to an end. The best sons of Ossetia are being killed and the authorities should take appropriate measures.
President E. Kokoity stated that Georgia had been wanting war for a long time.
15:32 - “The first convoy with children has already been evacuated from the village of Dmenis, Tskhinval district of the Republic of South Ossetia.
