All patients diagnosed with COVID-19 in South Ossetia recovered: no new cases of the disease have been detected

There are no new cases of coronavirus in South Ossetia, all 89 citizens who had previously become ill recovered and were discharged from the hospital, deputy head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee Anna Gagloeva told IA “Res” on Tuesday.

There are 192 people under medical supervision; all of them are in quarantine in the Republic's medical institutions and the hotel "Alan.

"There are no patients in the isolation ward with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, the nurse from the" red zone "was discharged the day before," Gagloeva said.

There have been no new cases of coronavirus infection in South Ossetia since July 17; more than 4 thousand coronavirus tests have been carried out in the Republic since May this year.

There are 121 people in the medical institutions of the Republic, of which 25 are in the isolation ward.

In total, 89 people infected with coronavirus have been detected since May, all of them were in quarantine in the medical institutions, thanks to the timely measures taken by the authorities, 85 people recovered and were discharged from medical institutions.

Until August 31, restrictions on crossing the border with Russia have been extended, while since August 1, some exemptions have been introduced for a certain category of citizens of the RSO.

This category of citizens will be in their homes, but according to the receipt given by them, under the supervision of doctors.

Exemption from 14-day quarantine upon arrival in South Ossetia applies exclusively to citizens who have undergone SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus), subject to the mandatory provision of the results of all three studies below: 1. Determination of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus RNA by PCR 2. Determination of Ig G antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 by ELISA 3. Determination of Ig M antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 by ELISA.
