South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee tested 80 quarantined citizens for coronavirus in a day, all the test results are negative, the deputy head of the department Anna Gagloeva told IA “Res” on Friday.

239 people are under observation in quarantine, 238 are in the Republic's medical institutions and the hotel "Alan".

"At the moment, there are no patients with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 in the isolation ward," Gagloeva said.

There have been no new cases of coronavirus infection in South Ossetia for almost a month (since July 17), there more than 4.2 thousand coronavirus tests in the Republic since May.

In total, 89 people infected with coronavirus have been identified and recovered since May; all of them were in quarantine in the medical institutions.

Until August 31, restrictions on crossing the border with Russia have been extended, while since August 1, some easing of restrictions have been introduced for a certain category of citizens of the RSO.

This category of citizens (who have had coronavirus and who have antibodies) will be in their homes, but according to the receipt given by them, under the supervision of doctors.

Exemption from 14-day quarantine on arrival in the RSO applies only to citizens who have undergone SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus), subject to the mandatory provision of the results of all three of the following studies: 1. Determination of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus RNA by PCR 2. Determination of IG G antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 by ELISA 3. Determination of IG M antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 by ELISA.
