In Moscow, Ambassador of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev met with the head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation Yevgeny Primakov, the press service of the Embassy reported.
“During the conversation, a thorough exchange of views took place on a number of topical issues on the bilateral agenda in the context of the development of South Ossetian-Russian relations, including those related to the interaction of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation in the field of education, science and culture, as well as the possibility of expanding humanitarian cooperation in new formats. The activities of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in South Ossetia, which became a link for the development of humanitarian ties, education, youth and international scientific cooperation, and support for South Ossetian compatriots, were noted with satisfaction. The need to continue the training program for South Ossetia in Russian educational institutions within the framework of quotas annually allocated by the Government of the Russian Federation,” the press service said.
Znaur Gassiev highly noted the level of interaction with Rossotrudnichestvo and the Head of the Agency Yevgeny Primakov, which allows solving complex issues of studying at Russian universities for compatriots from South Ossetia, including positively resolving the issue of admission of South Ossetian citizens in 2020.
