In South Ossetia, 8 new cases of coronavirus have been laboratory-confirmed over the past day, the head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Marina Kochieva told IA "Res" on Friday.
"Over the past day in the laboratory of the Committee, 28 tests were carried out, 8 showed a positive result," she said.
According to her, over the entire period of the pandemic on the morning of October 9, 119 cases of coronavirus were registered, since the day the restrictions on the border with the Russian Federation were lifted (September 15) - 29.
Eight people with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection are being treated in the "red zone", the rest are being treated on an outpatient basis.
Since April of this year, more than 5.7 thousand tests for COVID-19 have been carried out in the laboratory of the Committee.
