President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov instructed the Acting Health Minister Georgy Totchiev to work out the issues of vaccination against COVID-19. The head of state gave the order to the official during the meeting of the operational staff in Tskhinval on Wednesday.
“There is a demand among the population for vaccines, this is obvious. People who have not had the coronavirus do not want to get sick in the future. Therefore, work out this issue with your Russian colleagues, we have a corresponding agreement,” the President said.
The head of state expressed regret that "today there are so-called COVID-19 dissidents who are still not realize the threat of coronavirus infection."
“We have lost 70 people who fell ill with COVID-19. This is quite a serious figure,” Bibilov said.
He has added that the restrictive measures, taken in the Republic since April on the border with Russia to prevent COVID-19 from entering the Republic were correct and timely.
