On Friday, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov presented memorable table medals "75 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" of the Russian organizing committee "#Victory" and diplomas" to Acting Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Zhanna Zasseyeva and the first Deputy head of the administration of the Tskhinval district of the RSO Valery Bibilov.

Since 2012, Zhanna Zasseeva has been an active participant in the military memorial work in South Ossetia, coordinator and inspirer of the Immortal Regiment" action in the Republic, as well as the creator of the South Ossetian search headquarters.

Valery Bibilov, in turn, is one of the most active members of the South Ossetian headquarters of the Immortal Regiment, coordinates memorial work, has established activities for the preservation and categorization of monuments, monuments and graves associated with the Great Patriotic War.

The Ambassador has noted their many years of titanic work in this extremely important area, especially in modern realities, when history is often sought to be rewritten. He has also recalled that in 2021 the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War will be marked, which is an additional reason to remember the defenders of the Motherland who died and disappeared in those terrible years, to pay tribute to their feet.
