The course towards further strengthening and expanding the strategic partnership of South Ossetia with the Russian Federation and other friendly countries remains the same, said Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Dmitry Medoev.

“First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to President Anatoly Bibilov for the trust shown not for the first time. This obliges to accelerate the work on the solution of the tasks, especially during the current moment and, accordingly, imposes increased responsibility on the Ministry,” the Minister said, commenting, at the request of the IA “Res”, on the decrees signed by the President on Wednesday on the formation of a new Cabinet of Ministers.

He also expressed hope for the restoration of interaction with the relevant Parliamentary Committee in full, noting that the Ministry is ready for this.

“And, as we know, many questions have accumulated. Some projects were suspended, other directions also fell during the forced "performance of duties" ... In general, the foreign policy of our state will continue in the same direction. The course for further strengthening and expanding the strategic partnership with the Russian Federation and other friendly countries remains the same,” Dmitry Medoev emphasized.

The Minister also congratulated his colleagues in the government on the reappointment and wished them "continued productive work, which did not stop even due to the prevailing circumstances."

It should be noted that President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov on Wednesday signed 10 decrees at once on the appointment of heads of ministries and departments of the Republic's government.
