The head of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) Leonid Pasechnik awarded representatives of the Russian Federation, South Ossetia, the DPR and Abkhazia on the occasion of the Republic Day celebration.
The South Ossetian delegation headed by President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov arrived in Lugansk to celebrate the Republic Day.
The head of the LPR awarded the President of South Ossetia the medal "For loyalty to Duty", the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin - the II-degree medal "For Merit", Secretary of the General Council of the “United Russia" party Andrei Turchak and Senator Alexander Karelin – the I degree medals "For Merit".
“I am sometimes asked what connects South Ossetia, Donetsk, Lugansk, Russia? During the Great Patriotic War, Ossetians died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War: in Lugansk, Donetsk, in Stalingrad, in Crimea. In South Ossetia, Russian soldiers, defending us, died in 2008. Tell me, can there be anything higher and stronger than blood ties? ", Anatoly Bibilov said.
Also, the head of the LPR awarded the medal "From the grateful people of the LPR" to the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the Vice-Premier of Abkhazia Sergey Putovalov. The honorary badges "For Benefits" were received by the Chairman of the State Council of the Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, the first Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Viktor Vodolatsky and deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Dmitry Sablin.
