The next meeting of the South Ossetian parliamentary commission on cooperation with the Federation Council of Russia will take place in the fall. This was announced at the meeting of the commission in Tskhinval on Friday by a representative from the legislative (representative) body of state power of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Tsekov.
For the Russian part, the meeting was also attended by a member of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, a representative from the executive body of state power of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic Crym Kazanokov, executive secretary of the Russian part of the Commission, Deputy head of the Department of International Relations Nadezhda Dakhova.
For the South Ossetian part - Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Rule of Law and Local Self-Government Alan Gabatty, Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare Alexander Pliev, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Industry, Construction, Transport, Communications and Natural Resources Alan Alborov, Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Politics Zaza Driaev, Minister of Health and Social Development Soslan Naniev.
“We plan to hold the next meeting in Russia in the fall, I hope the epidemiological situation will allow us to do this,” said Sergei Tsekov.
According to him, the representatives of the Federation Council have an idea - to hold the next meeting of the Commission in one of the regions of Russia.
“We will consider the possibility of holding the next meeting in one of the regions of Russia, perhaps in the Crimea. We need to see how it turns out. If the South Ossetian side visits other regions of Russia, it will be useful for some and others. The local authorities should also be tuned in to certain work in the event of a delegation from South Ossetia arriving in the region. We would like to introduce such a new form of work of the joint meeting of the Commission,” he noted.
Sergey Tsekov drew attention to the fact that in Crimea, as well as in Russia in general, a lot of cultural and social events are held.
“It is not the first year that we have hosted the Great Russian Word festival in Crimea, where you can invite representatives of South Ossetia. This is not only about representatives of the leadership of the Republic, but in general, the inhabitants of the country. In particular, the teachers of the Russian language would meet at the festival with colleagues from the regions of Russia and countries of the world. If we introduce such a practice, it will be useful,” Tsekov stressed.
At the meeting held on Friday, the members of the Commission discussed the inclusion of Russian citizens permanently residing in South Ossetia in the total work experience in South Ossetia, in order to assess the pension rights of citizens, the problem of importing vehicles through the customs point "Nizhny Zaramag", measures for legislative support implementation of the Treaty of Alliance and Integration signed between Russia and South Ossetia, etc.
The visit of the Russian delegation also includes a visit to Leningor district of the Republic.
