The South Ossetian party intends to look for ways to prepare a document on the non-use of force at the talks in Geneva, said Presidential Envoy, head of the South Ossetian delegation in Geneva, Murat Dzhioev.
The Geneva discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia will start on June 29-30 and will last for two days.
"South Ossetia always shows readiness for constructive work within the framework of the Geneva discussions and expects that its proposals to improve the effectiveness of the Geneva discussions, primarily in matters related to the preparation of a legally binding document on the non-use of force, will provide a positive impetus," the head of the delegation told the IA" Re s ".
The Geneva discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia are held since 2008 and remain the only platform for Georgia's dialogue with South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The negotiations are also attended by representatives of Russia, the United States, the UN, EU and OSCE co-chair. The main goal of the discussions is to reach an agreement on the non-use of force between Tskhinval and Tbilisi, Sukhum and Tbilisi.
Traditionally, the work is carried out in two working groups - on security and on humanitarian issues.
