A boxer from South Ossetia Guram Gagiev will perform at the world championship, the athlete's coach Atsamaz Dzigoev told the IA "Res". As noted by Dzigoev, on Thursday they will go to the competition, which will be held from July 1 to 12 in Tbilisi.
“Guram was qualified for the competition thanks to his victory in the European Championship. But nevertheless, he additionally went through sparring, where the choice also fell on him,” said Dzigoev.
According to the coach, they were training intensively and will try to win.
“I have great hope for Guram. He is a good boxer, strong and promising. Competitions will, of course, be attended by the strongest boxers. We hope to win,” the coach said.
Earlier, Guram Gagiev became the winner of the Russian championship among youths aged 15-16 years old. In the final fight, the young boxer left no chances to his opponent from the Moscow region, having won with a score of 5: 0.
Gagiev is a graduate of the South Ossetian Boxing School.
