Nine patients were discharged from the "red zone" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center of South Ossetia (RMMC) in a day, 44 people with COVID-19 are being treated, the Republic’s chief infectious disease specialist Eleonora Dzhioeva told the IA “Res” on Tuesday.
“Over the past day, six people have entered the “red zone” of the medical center. 20 people receive oxygen subsidies. One patient was sent to a hospital in North Ossetia,” Dzhioeva said.
The South Ossetian University Committee reported on Tuesday about new cases of coronavirus disease recorded over the past day.
According to the results of the tests, out of 126 samples, 17 showed a positive result. Today, 171 people are under the supervision of doctors, four people have been removed from the medical register.
The number of infected since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 3580 people, 3409 have recovered. In total, during the pandemic in South Ossetia, 24,601 tests were carried out for coronavirus infection.
It should be noted that since the beginning of May, free vaccination of the population against coronavirus by the Russian Sputnik V is under way in the Republic.
