On Wednesday, deputies of the South Ossetian Parliament supported the statement of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia on the need to end the economic, trade and financial blockade carried out by the United States of America against the Republic of Crimea.
According to the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Parliamentary Relations Zaza Driaev, “such unilateral sanctions violate generally recognized principles and norms of international law, including the principles of sovereign equality of states and non-interference in their internal affairs, enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations (UN), undermine the foundations of the multilateral trading system, are detrimental to the civilian sectors of the economy, cause an increase in tensions in international relations. "
The MPs supported the statement unanimously.
Zaza Driaev also submitted to the parliamentary session an appeal of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia to international parliamentary organizations, parliaments and the public of foreign states in connection with the increasing cases of violation of the right to use their native language.
This statement was also unanimously supported by the parliamentarians of South Ossetia.
