The ICRC provided humanitarian aid to the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee worth over 1.2 million rubles

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) donated a batch of personal protective equipment to the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee at the request of the management of the sanitary service.

As reported to IA “Res” by Marina Tedety, a public relations specialist for the organization, humanitarian cargo for the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, worth more than 1.2 million rubles, contains 3,000 surgical caps, 1,000 respirator masks, more than 5,000 medical masks, 32 medical suits, 1,000 overalls, 70 medical gown and over 17,000 medical gloves.

"This is the third delivery of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the ICRC to support sanitary and health services in their efforts to counter the spread of COVID-19," the representative of the organization said.

In addition to the PPE, the ICRC delivered refrigeration equipment for storing and transporting vaccines in May this year in order to support vaccination among the rural population against a new coronavirus infection.
