South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev, at the end of his working visit to Italy, visited the grave of the prominent Italian journalist, political and public figure, former member of the European Parliament, Giulietto Chiesa, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
Dmitry Medoev laid flowers with the ribbon of the national flag of the Republic of South Ossetia and the inscription “Giulietto Chiesa from the people of South Ossetia. President A.I. Bibilov ".
Giulietto Chiesa was a great friend of South Ossetia, was well acquainted with the history and culture of Ossetia, always responded to the events taking place in the Republic, and was doing everything so that the world knew the truth about the events in South Ossetia. In recent years, D. Chiesa represented South Ossetia in the European Parliament.
The Foreign Minister was accompanied by the son of Giulietto Chiesa Lorenzo Chiesa and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in Italy Mauro Murgia.
