The State Security Committee of South Ossetia noted the increased incidence of intentional violations by Georgian citizens of the legal regimes operating on the state border.

"On December 9, in the vicinity of the settlement of Gdulet, Leningor district, two citizens of Georgia, Natadze Kakhaber Gerasimovich, born in 1977, and Kaniashvili, Vladimir Vazhaevich, born in 1983, residents of Gori, were detained by a border guard for illegal crossing of the state border. A drug "marijuana" weighing about one gram was found in one of the offenders. On December 15, decisions were made in relation to the detainees to initiate criminal cases on the grounds of the elements of crimes provided for by Article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal border crossing) and 229.1 (drug smuggling) ", - the KGB press service said in the statement

The Committee has once again reminded that all possible directions of penetration of violators of the state border are in the control zones and sectors of influence of the border forces of South Ossetia. "And the persons involved in the aggression against South Ossetia and who participated in the hostilities in the LPR, DPR and Syria as part of nationalist and terrorist organizations should remember that war crimes must and will be punished, regardless of the statute of limitations," the KGB noted.
