On the territory of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District, stationed in South Ossetia, on February 1, a solemn rally will be held dedicated to the 13th anniversary of the formation of the 4th Guards Vapnyar-Berlin Red Banner, Orders of Suvorov and Kutuzov military base, the press service of the Southern Military District reported.
"The event will be attended by the command and military personnel of the military base, their families, veterans of military service and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, it is also planned to visit the festivities by representatives of local self-government bodies of the Republic," the press service said.
They noted that the plan of working of media representatives provides for photo and video filming of objects and educational and material base, social and living conditions in the barracks fund, living conditions for families of military personnel in a military camp, organizing medical care for military personnel and civilian personnel, conducting classes on subjects of combat training in the simulator class and at the Dzartsem training ground by tank, motorized rifle, artillery, engineering and sniper units.
"In front of the participants of the celebration, scouts will hold demonstration performances in hand-to-hand combat, in addition, an exhibition of modern weapons of military equipment will be organized on the territory of the unit," the press service stressed.
The creative groups will perform a concert program for the participants of the event. A military band will be involved in the celebration.
