Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia Gennady Bekoev took part in the largest international food exhibition PRODEXPO 2022, the press service of the government reported.
“South Ossetia has been participating in the exhibition since 2019. For 4 years, the products of our producers have been presented here: mineral waters, wines, cognac, which consistently win prizes, gold and silver medals. In Russia, such brands of the Ironsaen winery as Tsard and Arvyduar are already recognizable. And further we intend to expand the range of products exhibited at Prodexpo. The implementation of the state program for socio- economic development of the Republic for 2022-2025, within the framework of which it is planned to create manufacturing enterprises, will contribute to an increase in the share of export-oriented products. We will work to ensure that South Ossetia is represented at PRODEXPO with as many high-quality products as possible," the head of government said upon arrival.
Recall that the 29th international exhibition of food products PRODEXPO is held from February 7 to 11 in Moscow. And the products of South Ossetia regularly win prizes.
For example, Alandon water won gold in 2019, Dzau-suar and Bagiata won gold and silver medals, respectively, in 2021. This time the "gold" was received by the water "Dzimur".
The annual national exposition at the international exhibition is successfully organized by the trade representative of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation Taimuraz Goginov.
Suppliers and producers of food and beverages traditionally meet at PRODEXPO to discuss the terms of cooperation and conclude contracts with wholesalers, retail chains, and catering facilities.
Among the main directions of deliveries: Kazakhstan, Belarus, China, Turkey, Thailand, Latin America and others.
More than 2.5 thousand participants from 73 countries of the world presented their products at PRODEXPO 2022. The exhibition was visited by about 70 thousand people from 115 countries.
