President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov had a telephone conversation with the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin, the press service of the head of state reported.

Anatoly Bibilov noted that he was watching with great concern the escalation of tension around the republics of Donbass and expressed words of support for the peoples of the DPR and the LPR.

He condemned the shelling of peaceful settlements, because of which residents are forced to leave their homes.

"All this gives grounds to conclude that the countries supporting the Ukrainian authorities gave the go-ahead for the start of open hostilities," the president said.

He offered assistance to Denis Pushilin, stressing that South Ossetia is ready to receive a group of orphaned children.

Relevant instructions on the readiness to deliver and accommodate children were given to the Minister of Emergency Situations and the Minister of Education of the Republic. A proposal for assistance will also be sent to the leadership of the Lugansk People's Republic.

On Friday, the heads of the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin, announced the evacuation of residents of the republics to Russia, in particular to the Rostov region, due to the growing threat of hostilities. On behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, refugees arriving in the Russian region will be paid 10,000 rubles each.
