"For our people, who have ancient, deeply historical military traditions, worthy service in the army, selfless military work to defend the country have always been a matter of honor, and Defenders of the Fatherland Day is rightfully a national holiday.
In 1989-1992, 2004, 2008, the sons of Ossetia repeatedly confirmed that they were worthy heirs of the military glory of our people," he said.
According to the President, thanks to allied relations with Russia, a national security structure has been created.
“The deployment of the 4th military base of the Russian Federation on our territory and the unification of security spaces have become fundamentally important factors in the security of our country, which ensured access to an immeasurably higher level of reliability.
At the same time, we consider maintaining a high level of combat capability and strengthening the Armed Forces of the Republic itself as one of the national priorities and as our allied duty," he said.
